3JS

In the autumn of 2021, the 3JS will leave beautiful Volendam for a visit to a number of clubs and pop venues together with the entire band. And they're looking forward to it, because as they say themselves: "We're going to blast really hard again, just like we showed last autumn and the year before."

The Volendam band 3JS has been on the road for eighteen years, but that does not mean that the threesome is heading into the future on autopilot. On the contrary, because for the twelfth studio album De Aard Van Het Beest, which will be released on Friday 15 May, Jan Dulles, Jaap Kwakman and the brand new band member Robin Küller are setting a new course.

The line that was carefully mapped out with the single 'De Toekomst', released last year, the first with the talented Robin in the ranks, is continued on the new album. “We decided from the very first moment to make our most positive record ever,” says Dulles.

Even the most melancholic pieces of 3JS always carry a hint of hope, so optimism is ingrained in the group's DNA anyway, even if it's not always apparent on the surface. “If a song makes me cry, it's a successful song, but we didn't want that now,” explains Dulles about the new album. “There will also be a ballad on it, although in general it has to be an album that makes people happy and that they take with them on holiday.”
In terms of feeling, the gentlemen think that De Aard Van Het Beest perhaps comes closest to the album Watermensen from 2007, which at the time marked the big breakthrough for 3JS.
